Arroz (Mexican Rice)

 

Arroz (Mexican Rice)

  • 2 Tbl. Oil
  • 1 cup rice (uncooked)
  • 3 Tbl. Minced Onion
  • 2 1/2 cups Water
  • 1 bud Garlic
  • 1 chopped Tomato
  • Salt to taste
  • Dash of black pepper
  1. Brown rice in oil; add onion; let it brown a little; add tomato and the rest of the ingredients; lower heat and cover
  2. Cook for about 30 minutes.
  3. (Garnish with peas or green pepper, or pimento.)
