Pound Cake

Pound Cake

  • 2 sticks butter (softened)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 6 eggs (slightly beaten)
  • 1 tsp vanilla or lemon (extract)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup whole milk
  1. Add sugar to softened butter and mix well with miser. Add eggs and mix well. Add flavor and baking powder and mix. Mix for approximately 10 minutes scraping side of bowl. Add flavor and mix for 5 minutes longer.

  2. Grease and flour Bundt or loaf pan. Preheat oven at 350°. Place cake batter in pan and place in oven and cook about 1 hour. Let cool and remove from pan.
