Crumb Cake- A News’ One Best recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 2 cups light brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 teaspoon soda

Instructions

  • Mix flour and sugar. Cut in butter as for pastry and reserve 1 cup of the crumbs.
  • Add egg, milk with soda and beat until smooth.
  • Pour into a greased 9" x 13" pan and sprinkle with reserved crumbs. 
  • Bake about 30 minutes in a 350-degree oven or until done
