Chicken A La King

- 1 5-lb chicken, cut up
- Boil till tender
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups strained broth
- 2 tbsp. Butter melted
- 6 level tbsp. Flour
- 1 tbsp. Salt
- Salt & pepper to taste
- ½ green pepper (large) cut up
- 2 or 3 tbsp. Cut pimento
- 4 oz. Can mushrooms & juice
- about 4 or 5 cups of the boiled chicken, cut-up
Melt butter and mix with flour. Add cold milk and broth. Stir and cook over low heat till it thickens. Add chicken, green pepper, pimento and mushrooms and juice. Heat thoroughly. Serve in patty shells or over baking powder biscuits.
