CURLY PETERS
Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sour milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 cup dates or raisins chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Cream shortening, sugar and egg. Add sour milk and vanilla alternately with sifted dry ingredients. Add raisins OR dates and nuts; mix well..
- Drop by spoonful onto ungreased pan
- Bake in 375°-400° oven until brown.
