Macaroni and Cheese Loaf recipe

MACARONI AND CHEESE LOAF

 

  1. Soften 1 envelope Knox Gelatin Unflavored in ½ cup cold water
  2. Dissolve thoroughly in ¾ cup very hot water with 1 teaspoon salt.
  3. Stir in 1 cup grated American Cheese until softened with 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 2 teaspoons grated onion
  4. Chill until unbeaten egg white consistency
  5. Mix in 1½ cups cooked broken macaroni, ½ cup mayonnaise or salad dressing, ½ cup diced celery, 1 tablespoon chopped pimiento, and 2 tablespoons chopped parsley.
  6. Turn into a large or individual molds and chill until firm.
  7. Unmold on salad greens and garnish as desired.
  8. Makes 4 main course salad servings
