Sew Sweet Handmade Clothes for Girls: 22 Easy-to-Make Dresses, Skirts, Pants & Tops Girls Will Love is such a cute book of patterns for girls (and a few for mom as well). If you sew for a little one I highly recommend it- if possible buy it from your local bookstore, but if you don’t have one there is a direct link to Amazon above.
This book does assume you have a basic knowledge of both sewing & pattern making. The patterns are included & need to be traced onto paper- plus you need to add the seam allowance. Instructions are clear and primarily visual.
I did make one small change to the dress- the design calls for sleeves & I messed up the sleeves when adding the seam allowance to them so I turned it into a sleeveless dress.
Also I had her try it on & she exlaimed it’s beautiful & I can’t get it off of her- it still isn’t hemmed or threads trimmed or or or…
