Cider Cake

Ingredients

  • 6 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • 1 grated nutmeg
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs beaten,
  • 1 cup cider.

Instructions

  • Mix and sift flour, soda, salt and nutmeg.
  • Cream butter and gradually add sugar creaming well until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs and beat thoroughly.
  • Add flour mixture - alternately with cider, beating well until smooth after each addition.
  • Bake in 9x9x4-inch greased pan in 350'- degree oven for about 1 hour.
