Cider Cake
Ingredients
- 6 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- 1 grated nutmeg
- 1 cup butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 eggs beaten,
- 1 cup cider.
Instructions
- Mix and sift flour, soda, salt and nutmeg.
- Cream butter and gradually add sugar creaming well until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and beat thoroughly.
- Add flour mixture - alternately with cider, beating well until smooth after each addition.
- Bake in 9x9x4-inch greased pan in 350'- degree oven for about 1 hour.
