Applesauce Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1½ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 cup flour
- ½ cup raisins
- ½ cup walnut meats
- ¾ tsp soda
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp cloves
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Cream shortening, add sugar and cream.
- Add beaten egg and applesauce.
- Sift together all dry ingredients and mix them all together.
- Bake in a loaf pan for 350° for 50 minutes.
