For the NINTH year in a row, my friend Michael will be participating in a 16-18 mile (they don’t know the route yet) overnight walk to raise funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). This organization funds research, education, and awareness programs – both to prevent suicide and to assist those affected by suicide. This year AFSP is organizing two walks, and Mike will be participating in one of them. I will walk through Boston on the night of June 27-28. Johanna and Mike will be walking with friends they have met during past walks on “Team S.O.L.E.S. (Surviving Our Losses Experienced through Suicide). If you go to Mike’s donation page, and I have surpassed my goal, please donate to Johanna or another one of my team mates instead.

As many of you know, this issue is close to our heart. Over the past 8 years, with your help, Mike has raised close to $20,000. He would love if you could help him build on that. Please take the time to visit the link below. It will explain more about what he is doing and why he his doing it. And it just so happens that you will be able to donate money there.

I also need to ask one more favor. Please forward this to as many people as you can, and to ask them to forward it to as many as they can. He usually receive donations from between 45-55 people. He recognizes that hard earned money is not easy to part with & knows that the amount that people can afford to donate is limited. So his goal is to receive donations from as many people as possible to offset this reality. Please do what you can, and pass on the message.
